Red Rocks: Rocking Denver Since 1906

Red Rocks Park is part jaw-dropping, geological marvel, and half historic rock and roll venue. It is a fusion of natural wonder and man-made tremble and bass. It is perhaps the ideal setting for a music gig, as the red sandstone boulders are other-worldly and majestic, the perfect props for rock and roll transcendence. Red
Rocks Park is a mountain park in Colorado that is owned and operated by the city of Denver. The Red Rocks Amphitheater has been holding concerts and other events for over a century. The open-air theater is wedged between several beautiful rock formations: Ship rock, Stage Rock, and Creation Rock are just a few of
the geological wonders you will see if you visit Red Rocks Park. The seating area at the amphitheater holds around 10,000 fans.

Historically, several famous performances have been held at Red Rocks Park over the years. U2 performed there in 1983 and made a concert video of the performance. The Grateful Dead, as well as other classic rock artists of the 60s and 70s, frequented Red Rocks. Red Rocks Park has a long and vital history as a rock and roll venue, and it continues to draw large crowds today.
